Hello, and welcome to Sisters, Paper, Scissors!
As you know my sister and I have been doing monthly blog projects in tandem for a few years now. We started out focusing on only scrapbooking with the Sister Sketch project. Then last year we switched it up a bit with Sisters Take on Pinterest, where we each tackled a project we’d pinned.
This year we’re combining it all into one whole shebang called Sisters. Paper, Scissors. We’ll be mixing up paper crafts, scrapbooking and other crafts all year long, on the last Friday of every month. Make sure to bookmark our blogs, or add us to your blog reader so you don’t miss out any of the fun!
Using the January Printably Kit
This month we’re sharing how we both used the printables from the Printably January kit. The kit comes with a great selection of printables for scrapbooking, paper crafts and planners.
I got pretty busy with the kit this month! A couple weeks ago I already shared how I used the Personal sized planner divider. Here’s what else I’ve done.
I set up a section of my everything planner for all my 2016 projects by adding in the A5 divider.
Adding in the butterfly sticker and my word for the year adds a custom touch.
I used the January tab that came in the monthly bonus too!
As I start projects each month I’ll put the corresponding tab on.
Speaking of my word for the year, I started a scrapbook album just for me this year, and the first page was all about my word.
I’m working on developing a complete memory keeping system this year. As part of it I plan to keep a Memory notebook, to keep track of all the stories I want to tell. I used one of the 3×4 cards to decorate the front page
I added washi tape, a stamped sentiment and a veneer birdie.
Even though I use my planner daily, I still like to have an overview of the month that I can quickly glance at. Both my January 2016 calendars are up!
Letter sized version:
And to keep my word ever present, I added it to the center of the mandala poster.
There’s still tons more left in the kit, including 4×6 cards, die cuts and a 5×7 poster. You’ll probably see them popping up in future posts!
Now head over to see how Vernell used the kit.
